Support TEDS
Volunteer with TEDS
Talking Eating Disorders (TEDs) is supported by volunteers who care deeply about making a difference for people affected by eating disorders. Volunteers play a vital role in helping us offer support, information, and hope to those who need it.
We are always happy to hear from people who would like to give their time, skills, or lived experience to support our work.
Why volunteer?
Volunteering with TEDS can be a meaningful way to support others, learn new skills, and be part of a compassionate and understanding community. Many of our volunteers tell us they value the sense of connection, purpose, and shared understanding that comes from being involved.
Whether you have personal experience of an eating disorder, have supported someone else, or simply want to help, your contribution matters.
How you could help
Volunteer roles vary and may include:
-
Supporting group facilitators
-
Helping at events or conferences
-
Offering administrative or practical support
-
Sharing skills such as organisation, communication, or fundraising
-
Helping to raise awareness of eating disorders and recovery
We recognise that everyone’s circumstances are different, and volunteering can be flexible.
A supportive approach
TEDS is a pro-recovery organisation and offers a kind, respectful, and inclusive environment. Volunteers are supported and never expected to do more than they feel comfortable with. Training and guidance are provided where appropriate.
